21-Year-Old Dayot Upamecano Ran The Show For RB Leipzig Vs Atletico Madrid, He's Destined For The Top

Dayot Upamecano's performance for RB Leipzig vs Atletico Madrid on Thursday night proved why he is one of football's top youngsters.

The two sides went at it in their Champions League quarter-final clash and it was Leipzig that emerged 2-1 victors.

Tyler Adams' late strike sealed the win for Julian Nagelsmann's side - but the name on everyone's lips was Upamecano.

@BnSComps picked out the Frenchman's best bits and they are a joy to watch. Check them out below.

The 21-year-old put in a dominant display in central defence and showed off the perfect blend of skill and strength when dealing with Atletico's forwards.

Diego Costa was kept quiet while Alvaro Morata's introduction also didn't faze Upamecano.

Fans around the world watched Upamecano's performance in awe and they think he's destined to be one of the best.

With a $42 million release clause that reportedly activates in 2021, you have to think a host of top European clubs will be keeping an eye on Upamecano this year.

Victory for Leipzig sets up a mammoth semi-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

They took the lead against Atletico through Dani Olmo, with the Spaniard's flying header catching Jan Oblak off guard.

Diego Simeone's side equalised 20 minutes later via a penalty from Joao Felix.
