Cristiano Ronaldo marked his Juventus with a stunning rabona at the expense of AC Milan's Diego Laxalt last night.

Ronaldo didn't enjoy the best of returns to football but he still managed to make the headlines for one brilliant bit of play.

The 35-year-old darts into the box and sees an onrushing Laxalt, before stopping the ball dead in its tracks.

Laxalt can then be seen sliding off the Allianz Stadium turf as Ronaldo clips a lovely rabona cross into the box.

Juventus booked their place in the Coppa Italia final after the 0-0 draw on Friday evening - with Maurizio Sarri's side advancing on away goals after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Ronaldo himself missed a penalty in the first half with Gianluigi Donnarumma tipping his effort onto the post.

What followed was Milan forward Ante Rebic doing his best Nigel De Jong impression and planting his studs into Danilo's chest.

The Croatian initially received a yellow card for the challenge but VAR intervened and gave the 26-year-old a red.

Ronaldo received criticism following the game for looking rusty but he has been backed to recapture his scintillating form.

"Even the greatest miss," teammate Leonardo Bonucci told Rai Sport per Goal.

"Cristiano is always important for us.

"He increases the pressure on opponents' defenders.

"He was unfortunate today and Donnarumma did well. We'll see a great Juventus and a great Ronaldo again."

Bonucci then went on to stress that 'The Old Lady' advancing to the final was all that mattered.

"The important thing was to qualify so we could play in Rome for our first objective of the season.

"It was strange and difficult at the start, an empty stadium after 90 days. We got a bit stretched out and Milan did very well with 10 men against 11. It was a draw, but we must look at the glass half-full, as our objective was to reach the final on Wednesday.

"We've shaken off a dark moment for the whole world and hope being back will give a bit of hope and joy to the fans at home. We want to dedicate something more to them on Wednesday."
