Sir Alex Ferguson is now 'sitting up and talking' after waking up from his coma.The former Manchester United boss had been hospitalised for a brain haemorrhage.
He remains in intensive care after having brain surgery but has now started to show signs of recovery, with this most recent update via the Daily Mail coming as a relief to most.
The Red Devils legend has won 38 trophies during 26 years at Old Trafford, a ludicrous amount of title wins.
The tributes have poured in for Ferguson. Man United captain Michael Carrick, speaking to MUTV, told of how the news of his former boss left him shocked.
"I was devastated, said the veteran midfieIder. "I got a text on Saturday evening and it didn't really sink in. I spoke to a few people at the club to get a rundown on how he was doing.
"The whole world showed their support and I was just concerned about him, as an ex-manager and a friend - as he was to everyone. It was the effect he had on everyone. He means a lot to me, as he does to this club."
A top neurosurgeon has said that next month will be crucial in Sir Alex Ferugson's recovery.

Ferguson is considered one of the greatest managers to ever grace the football. Some argue that he is the greatest manager of all time.
His ludicrous trophy cabinet at Man United, including 13 Premier League and two Champions Leagues, has earned him the adulation and respect of millions of supporters in the north-west and all over the globe.
It's why the football world was shocked and saddened to learn that he was taken ill over the weekend.
Tributes have poured in from all over. From Arsene Wenger, who addressed the great man in his leaving speech at the Emirates on Sunday, to Cristiano Ronaldo, who called Sir Alex a 'dear friend' in a social media post.
And Peter Hamlyn, a consultant neurosurgeon, has said the next several weeks will be crucial in the great man's recovery.
"His surgeons have decided to operate almost certainly because they felt the size of the blood clot was causing damage to the remaining brain tissue. This is often life-saving surgery and aims to reduce any long-term disability Sir Alex might suffer from this form of stroke," he wrote in Independent Ireland.
"If they survive without signs of improvement after several months, then it is unlikely that an individual will return to their former health. However, in the immediate aftermath there is everything to fight for and the potential for a full recovery, albeit sometimes after a long period of rehabilitation.
Ferguson remains at a Salford hospital. The respect and tributes for the Red Devils legend has been overwhelming. It's clear to see that he's touched so many lives.
