Poland superstar Robert Lewandowski pointed to UEFA's 'Respect' logo on his arm as fans in Warsaw booed England players taking a knee.
Gareth Southgate's side took a visible stand against racism prior to kick-off and were met with a hostile reaction.
Fans in Poland had shown respect to England by cheering their national anthem, but that changed moments later.

The Three Lions took a knee throughout Euro 2020 and when warming up for the tournament, they received backlash from their own supporters.
Southgate explained why taking a stand against racial discrimination is important to his side.
"I have never believed that we should just stick to football," Southgate said in The Players' Tribune.
"I know my voice carries weight, not because of who I am but because of the position that I hold. At home, I'm below the kids and the dogs in the pecking order but publicly I am the England men's football team manager. I have a responsibility to the wider community to use my voice, and so do the players.
"It's their duty to continue to interact with the public on matters such as equality, inclusivity and racial injustice, while using the power of their voices to help put debates on the table, raise awareness and educate."

England dropped points for the first time in their qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup after a 1-1 draw vs Poland.
