Robert Lewandowski Could Make Sensational Departure From Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski could well be the one to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

The Poland international had a fraught time in the World Cup with his nation. While many people had them pegged as underdogs, Poland could not even get out the group stages of the tournament.

Real sold Ronaldo to Juventus for £100 million, in what was the most sensational transfers of the season, but now the topic of discussion has moved away from the move but to who will come in to replace the seemingly irreplaceable.

During his later years, Ronaldo forged himself as a successful out and out forward, and though Karim Benzema remains in the squad for Real, the feeling is that if they are to replicate their stunning record in the Champions League - of which they have won four out of the last five trophies - and stand a chance of winning the league, they will need to strengthen in the striker department.

Lewandowski is one of the best in the world in his position. He scored 41 goals in 48 games for Bayern Munich last season, and while being the relatively older age of 29, he still has much more to give.

Now a source via Marca has added fuel to the heated transfer specualtion. Via Mundo Deportivo, Marca said this as a quote: " Lewandowski's dream is to play for Real Madrid , but that's where he gets it."
