Manchester United Fan Rates Their 2008 XI Compared To Liverpool's Current Team
A Manchester United fan has claimed their starting XI from 2008 would 'destroy' the current Liverpool team.
Twitter user @DevilsOfUnited has compared the two teams and rules Liverpool are only stronger in two positions.
United won the Premier League and Champions League in 2008 with a side featuring names such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
Liverpool on the other hand currently lead the Premier League by 14 points and won last season's Champions l.
'08 United side would destroy current #LFC team.

The only two positions Liverpool are stronger in according to the tweet is at right-back and central defensive midfield.
One big point of contention on social media is Nemanja Vidic being rated above Virgil van Dijk.
While Vidic was a stalwart in the United defence, Liverpool fans argued that the current PFA Player of the Year is better.
'Reds' fans also took to mocking United fans for 'living in the past' and reflecting on their glory days.
Van Dijk is better than Vidic

Hold a minute...you compare this Utd team of 08 to today's LFC team claiming they are better all over the park.
Yet this is the same Utd team that was destroyed 4-1 by the LFC team of 08 at Old Trafford???
How do you work that out you donut???

Remember when this fanbase relentlessly mocked us and called us "history F.C."??
Absolute love how history is the only thing they can now talk about. They become what they mocked :joy::weary:

Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can maintain the consistent success the United team of 2008 did.
They managed to win three consecutive Premier League title's between 2007 and 2009 as well as their Champions League nod.
Liverpool host United at Anfield on Sunday and it's safe to say the gap in quality between the sides heavily favours the home side.
Who do you think was better, United '08 or modern day Liverpool?
