Remembering When Sky Sports Analysed N'Golo Kante Using Football Manager

Everyone does love Football Manager, in fairness.

Sky Sports can give us some brilliant football analysis. They have the latest technology, and pundits such as Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville on their books.

But this one time, while analysing everyone's favourite player, N'golo Kante, they amazingly used Football Manager.

In fairness, Kante was an unknown quantity back when this was filmed. He had not won back to back Premier League titles with Leicester City and Chelsea, respectively. He was at French outfit Caen and had just signed for the Foxes when Sky Sports were using FM (Football Manager) to find more out about the player.

Some of the stats included Kante possessing 13/20 for dribbling, 17 for acceleration, 14 for technique and 18 for work rate. That's some pretty accurate statistics. FM, despite being a computer game, is an amazing database full of football knowledge. It's not that its stats are far off, it's that Sky Sports, being the UK's biggest sports network, could've have carried out a more suitable method of researching the new Leicester City player.

There was a fairly big storm on social media, too.

Here is World-Cup winning France midfielder stats on FM in full.

A pretty impressive showing for the 27-year-old. It's fair to say he's won over a fair few critics over his years in England.
