Stockport County Vs West Ham United Stopped By Remarkable Firework Display

Stockport County's FA Cup clash with West Ham United was temporarily brought to a stop this evening - thanks to an impromptu firework show.

The National League outfit welcomed David Moyes' side to Edgeley Park for a third round clash this evening.

During the 15th minute, fireworks begun to go off outside the stadium and drown out BT Sports' commentary.

Moments later, referee Mike Dean brought the game to a standstill while the fireworks continued to go off.

Dean and West Ham captain Mark Noble discussed the stoppage while enjoying the spectacle side by side.

The fireworks are in support of a local 15-year-old boy named Khia, who was tragically hit by a car over the festive period.

Fans have reacted to the firework show and it's not something they expected on a cold Monday night in January.

West Ham came close to scoring early on, with Said Benrahma clipping the post.

But County have defended strongly and go into the break with the scores 0-0.

Both sides know a clash with Doncaster Rovers awaits in the fourth round, following the draw earlier this evening.
