Lionel Messi proved he's human on Thursday night when he missed a simple 1v1 against Athletic Bilbao - minutes before they scored the winner vs Barcelona.
The Copa del Rey quarter-final was locked at 0-0 and a chance fell to the 32-year-old to seal the game in the 88th minute.
The ball is slid through to him and he uncharacteristically fired the shot straight at Unai Simon.
Check it out below.

Less than five minutes later, Ibai Gomez fired a cross into the Barcelona box which Inaki Williams glanced past a helpless Marc-Andre ter Stegen to snatch a victory.

A few fans used the missed chance to mock Messi and claim he has become a 'bottler' in recent times.
Guess who's left footed, Messi or Ronaldo? Don't compare us, we're not the same. pic.twitter.com/E6IPtYSczG

Quique Setien played a heavily rotated side for the clash at the San Mames Stadium and they missed a wealth of chances.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid's 21 match unbeaten streak came to an end following a 4-3 defeat to Real Sociedad in the early kick-off.
Socieded raced to a 3-0 victory with on-loan Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard opening the scoring.
Alexander Isak added two goals in two minutes before Marcelo grabbed one back for the hosts.

Mikel Merino then scored a fourth for Sociedad who were enjoying themselves at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Madrid rallied in the final ten minutes and goals from Rodrygo and Nacho Fernandez managed to unsettle 'La Real'.
Sociedad also had Andoni Gorosabel sent off deep into injury time but they managed to hold on and progress to the semi-finals.
This evening's results mean it's the first time in a decade that neither Barcelona or Real Madrid have made it to the semi-finals of the tournament.
