Marbella FC Reveal Plans For Insane 18,000-Seater Stadium With Swimming Pools And Hotel Attached

Marbella currently play in the third tier of Spanish football and this will certainly help them stand out.

Spanish third-tier side Marbella FC have unveiled sensational plans for their new 18,000-seater stadium and it looks seriously impressive.

The club presented plans on Friday in an exhibition with the stadium described as an "urban jewel" that will "symbolise the city" by executive director of 'Best Of You', Oscar Ribot.

It will be built on the grounds of the club's current stadium, Estadio de Marbella, with other features including a hotel and shopping area.

Check out the announcement video below.

4000 square meters of the stadium will be dedicated to a VIP Area while the stadium can also be used for concerts in the future, with a retractable roof showcased.

Fans have reacted to the announcement and they're on board with the extra features, especially the inclusion of swimming pools.

It seems like the club don't plan to spend their days in the third division of Spain and have a dream of reaching La Liga sooner rather than later.

Another club who have managed to create a unique matchday experience without top flight football is UD Ibiza.

DJ Manu Gonzalez played a set during the club's Copa Del Rey clash with Barcelona earlier this year and helped put the club on the map.

Gonzalez, who always finds time to watch his team in action, even when he's touring the world as an international DJ, is signed to one of biggest electronic music agencies on the planet.

It's certainly one way to play into the island's reputation of a nonstop party filled with sand, sea and nightclubs.

Ibiza and Marbella are both involved in the Segunda Division B but in groups one and four respectively.

Perhaps one day we'll get to see the two sides clash and Gonzalez play at the brand new state of the art stadium.
