Liverpool Fans Are Loving How Joe Gomez Dealt With Raheem Sterling

Liverpool fans are loving Joe Gomez's reaction after he got into an altercation with Manchester City's Raheem Sterling at Anfield.
Liverpool defeated title rivals City 3-1 on Sunday to move nine points ahead of the reigning champions at the top of the Premier League.
The game was filled with VAR controversy and Pep Guardiola's side felt hard done by a number of decisions.
Sterling was visibly frustrated on the pitch and towards the end of the game he had a little scuffle with Liverpool defender Gomez.

Gomez thought his fellow England international went in too hard with a challenge and he responded by lifting the City forward in the air and pushing him backwards.
Sterling had a few words for the 22-year-old, but the defender smirked and walked away as players from both sides rushed over to pacify them both.
The exchange delighted many Liverpool fans on Twitter who loved Gomez's passion against Sterling.
JOE GOMEZ I FUCKING LOVE YOU.
MAN PICKED UP STERLING AND MOVED HIM, IM CRYING.

Sterling left Merseyside for Manchester back in 2015 and it's a move that Liverpool fans have never forgiven him for.
His career has kicked on since then and has become a key player for club and country but the manner in which he left has not been forgotten at Anfield.

Anfield is always a hostile atmosphere for the 24-year-old and chants calling him greedy echoed around the stands yesterday.
Sterling again failed to score against his old side which now makes it 12 games in all competitions since his £49 million move.
He and Gomez are both set to join up with the England squad on Monday for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Montenegro and Kosovo.
England boss Gareth Southgate will hope that he can avoid any flare-ups between the duo while on international duty.
