Bruno Fernandes has become an expert from the penalty spot at Manchester United - but Google is showing that rival fans think he is a diver.

The Portuguese international arrived at Old Trafford in January and he has helped transform United in those nine months.

Since his arrival however, other supporters have accused the 26-year-old of mastering the dark arts and throwing himself to the ground with minimal contact.

Twitter user @ffstjay_ has now shared a screenshot which shows the Google results if you type in 'Bruno Fernandes dive vs' and the list is huge.

10 different games are shown across the Premier League and Europa League and it does not reflect well on the midfielder.

Fans have reacted to the image and they have decided to let their feelings about Fernandes be known.

Fernandes actually gave away a penalty on Saturday afternoon as United took on Brighton & Hove Albion.

He brought down Tariq Lamptey in the area which allowed Neal Maupay to step up and panenka past David de Gea.

But Fernandes would have the last laugh as his injury time penalty clinched a 3-2 victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Back in June, the former Sporting Lisbon man was told to remove diving from his game by former Premier League midfielder Danny Murphy.

"But no matter how good you are or how well you speak off the pitch, if you make a habit of trying to win penalties and free-kicks, you won't be admired in the same way," he stated in the Daily Mail.

"At Spurs [in a 1-1 draw last season], he deserved a yellow card for his tumble and as a fan of his I don't want to see him start doing that. I'm sure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a word with him about it, and he should do.

"It was right VAR overturned the original penalty decision that would have given United the chance of a late winner, but I agree with Jose Mourinho and don't know why action wasn't then taken against Fernandes.

"I'm hoping he will be embarrassed if he looks back. He doesn't need to indulge in diving and gain a reputation for being public enemy No 1. He is talented enough to win matches and make himself a hero without such antics."
