Liverpool fans have been discussing what they'd do if they didn't become Premier League champions at the end of this Premier League season.

The campaign is currently suspended until April 4 at the earliest due to the COVID 19/coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.

Jurgen Klopp's side are just two wins from winning their first Premier League title but there is a chance the season could be declared 'null and void' which would deny them glory.

Fans on Reddit have discussed how they would react to the news and some of them are hilarious.

One fan has decided that he will embark on a pilgrimage, claiming: "I've said this before. If the season gets cancelled I'm becoming a monk and gonna live the rest of my life in isolation in a temple at the top of a mountain."

While another said, "I'm done, at least for my own sake. I will however still support the club but I doubt I will pay Viasat (Sweden) any more money for the sports package."

A third added: "I would probably ignore everything football for quite a while. That is until we kick off again, either for friendlies or the new season."

Despite this, some fans are remaining optimistic and have faith in Klopp and his squad delivering the Premier League title next season.

"As long as Klopp can get the team to play like they play all the time, nothing changes for me," one supporter explained.

A second echoed those claims with: "Honestly, I've kind of come to terms with it a bit. These lads aren't going away, they'll just come back and win it next year."

Star defender Virgil van Dijk has also commented on the current situation facing his side.

The Dutchman says winning the coveted trophy without Liverpool supporters in attendance would be bittersweet.

"If we won it in an empty stadium and the fans weren't there, I'd be gutted for them," he explained.

"Obviously, if there are no fans at Anfield, then it will be a bit of a blow - no one wants to play games without the fans.

"Until a decision is made on how we go on from here, then we just have to deal with it. But when it happens, we are still bringing the title to our fans, definitely.

"We all have to be sensible and deal with it with common sense. If the authorities make that judgement, we just have to deal with it and accept it."
