22 points clear means it's probably a safe bet at least...

A Liverpool fan has already gotten a tattoo that reads 'Premier League Champions 2019/20'.

Mark Gretton has had the liver bird and statement inked onto his arm in anticipation of his side's first ever Premier League trophy.

'The Reds' are currently 22 points clear of Manchester City and need six more wins to secure the title.

When asked about the tattoo, Gretton told the Liverpool Echo:

'm so confident now we've won it, that I got the tattoo done.

"They've got to win it now, surely. I don't regret it one bit, I'm embracing it, I love it."

"My wife doesn't realise the league doesn't end until May, she think it's finished now!

"I've had digs from Chelsea fans in work, but it's just jealousy."

The Brighton-based Liverpool fan said that he's faced constant ribbing from work colleagues about the tattoo but he's confident Jurgen Klopp's side won't let him down.

"I get to games at Anfield when I can, I love the city and the banter.

"I started supporting Liverpool during the Kevin Keegan and John Toshack era, when I was aged about eight.

"I've had lots of people telling me I've had the tattoo too early, and what will I do if it goes wrong?

"I guess I'll run for the hills if that happens.

"But I'm confident it's game over, it's got to be.

"Liverpool fans can be very pessimistic, but we need to savour this."

It's very unlikely that Liverpool let their current lead slip but Mark could be tempting fate with this tattoo.

But there are previous incidents which have seen fans regretting their tattoo choice.

A variety of England fans got ahead of themselves in 2018 and had 'World Cup winners' etched onto their skin.

While a Manchester United manager had the infamous 'Ole's at the wheel' chant immortalised in a unique way.

A Leeds United fan also had 'play-off winners' tattooed on to him last year - before Marcelo Bielsa's side went on to lose their semi-final to Derby County.

What do you think is the worst tattoo in football history?
