Fan Freakishly Predicts Exact Italy vs Turkey Scoreline And Scorers 10 Hours Before Kick-Off

It's the own-goal scorer that's blowing people's minds...

Euro 2020 has only just kicked off but the competition for the most freakishly accurate pre-match prediction has already been decided.

One football fan not only predicted an Italy 3-0 Turkey scoreline, they also picked the exact goalscorers - including naming the Turkish player who would score an own goal - 10 hours before kick-off. Incredible.

Replying to the official Euro 2020 match predictor on Twitter, @VaneJuice replied simply: "Turkey 0-3 Italy. Immobile, Insigne, Demiral OG."

Anyone who's tried to pick a scoreline and goalscorers knows it's basically impossible. So throwing in the fact there would be an own goal - and naming the player who would score it - led many to conclude that this fan is basically a sorcerer and/or a time traveller.

Inevitably, people began firing questions at this man who is clearly able to see into the future of football, from: "Will Spurs win a championship?" to "Is Barcelona going to win the Champions League next season? Please bro tell me".

The opening game of Euro 2020 saw - as @VaneJuice already knew it would - Italy dominate against a toothless Turkey.

Defender Merih Demiral bundled home Domenico Berardi's cross to put Italy 1-0 up shortly after half-time, before Ciro Immobile pounced to make it 2-0 and Lorenzo Insigne inevitably finished things off with a goal he'd been looking for all night.

At this point @VaneJuice presumably immediately went out to buy a lottery ticket.

Just warn us before you predict the rest of the Euro 2020 group games though, please. We like some element of surprise in our life.
