England have announced their starting XI for Sunday's Euro 2020 clash with Croatia and fans are furious with manager Gareth Southgate.

The Three Lions kick off their tournament in a huge Group D clash this afternoon and many expected the team to be filled with attacking talent.

However, a more defensive side has been put out with Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice playing behind Mason Mount in midfield.

Kieran Trippier has also been picked at left-back, despite being a right-sided player.

It means Luke Shaw has been dropped to the bench and Ben Chilwell hasn't made the squad at all.

Jack Grealish is also on the bench and Jadon Sancho has failed to make the matchday squad, but both backup goalkeepers in Dean Henderson and Sam Johnstone have.

Supporters have had their say on social media and they aren't happy.

Other notable players include Phil Foden, who is making his major international tournament debut at 21-years-old.

Raheem Sterling has also been given the nod despite an underwhelming season at club level.

Marcus Rashford misses out despite captaining the side and scoring in friendly victory over Romania last week.

What do you make of the England team Gareth Southgate has selected?
