Swedish full-back Emil Holm earned the dubious honour of taking the world's worst free-kick last night.

Being a dead-ball specialist is no easy feat but when you step up with confidence, you do need to deliver.
Holm took on the responsibility during SonderjyskE's 1-0 win over Vejle Boldklub in the Danish League.
The 21-year-old smashed the ball with all his might - which then saw it fly up and out of the stadium.
Out of the STADIUM. Hitting row Z is a solid feat, but clearing the entire ground?
Holm couldn't help but let out a wry smile before jogging back into defence.
Fans have reacted to the free-kick and they think it could be up there as the worst in football history.
Thought he was in the NFL. https://t.co/FznneTvDg2

It's actually pretty hard to kick a ball out of the stadium. So props to him. NFL may have found their new all-star kicker.

Holm has actually scored five times in 20 games for SonderjyskE, meaning he averages a goal every four game from defence. Not too shabby.
Maybe he should be off free-kick duty for the time being though?
Even some of the world's best players have come undone from free-kicks, albeit by complete accident.
Back in August 2001, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs managed to take a free-kick at the exact same time for Manchester United.
The Red Devils drew 1-1 against Aston Villa but very nearly sealed a win in bizarre circumstances.
Both men were stood over the ball and struck it at the same time, forcing a save from Villa goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
You never know until you try it.
