Diogo Jota Scores Brilliant Hat-Trick As Liverpool Thrash Atalanta 5-0 In Champions League
Diogo Jota hit a superb hat-trick as Liverpool enjoyed a wonderful night in Group D of the Champions League, thumping Italian outfit Atalanta 5-0 away from home.
The summer signing from Wolves opened the scoring with a cheeky left-footed flick and added his second soon after with a fine control and finish.
Mohamed Salah increased their advantage a couple of minutes after the restart with a trademark left-footed shot into the far corner.

It was Salah's 22nd goal in Europe for Liverpool, putting him level with Michael Owen.
Moments later, Salah turned provider, teeing up Sadio Mane to make it 4-0.

Jota wasn't finished, though, grabbing his third and Liverpool's fifth in the 55th minute to seal a wonderful night for Jurgen Klopp's men against a side sitting in fourth place in Serie A.
Jota has also now scored 10 goals since the start of last season in European competition, with six for Wolves and four for Liverpool.
10 - Diogo Jota has scored @LFC's 10th hat-trick in the European Cup/Champions League, the ninth different player to do so for the club, with only Graeme Souness doing so on more than one occasion. Illustrious. #UCL

I haven't seen a forward make as great a start to his #LFC career as Jota since the two players he is playing up front with this evening.
