Fluminese U17s' triumph over Athletico Paranaense has been marred by a huge brawl which saw one player kung fu kick another in the throat and nine players be sent off.

The two sides faced off on Monday evening and while Fluminese emerged winners and claimed the U17 Brasileirao title, the real story came following the game.

Paranaense's Ataide fouled Joao Neto who kicked out at his opponent and sparked the initial confrontation.

Moments later, the pitch filled with bodies and substitute Joao Gabriel planted an Eric Cantona-esque kick on Neto.

Vinicius Amaral then laid a few kicks into the youngster before his teammates jumped in to help.

It has been reported that the game was stopped for ten minutes to calm everyone down and all four players were sent off.

Two more players on the pitch were also sent off, as were three substitutes taking the number of dismissals up to nine.

Fans have reacted to the incident and they think it could be up there as one of football's wildest on-pitch scraps.

No word on the punishments everyone involved will receive yet but they'll probably be long ones given the violence on show.

Back in January 1995, Manchester United legend Cantona kung fu kicked a Crystal Palace fan in the chest during a game and was banned for nine months.
