Pochettino v Neymar and Mbappe? Football Fans Very Unsure About PSG Appointment
PSG finally made the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino official today, after weeks of expectation.
The Argentine arrives at Parc des Princes with the club in relative crisis, 'languishing' in third in Ligue 1 and a whole one point behind Lille and Lyon.
The French giants also nearly dropped out of the Champions League at the group stage, only staying in thanks to Manchester United conspiring to ruin a great chance at qualification with loss to struggling Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.

As such, Pochettino will have a reubilding job on his hands on his return to the club he featured for as a player for two seasons.
However, some football fans are already doubting the appointment, pointing out that the Argentine's famously high-intensity philosophy may not fit well with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi, and others.

It's going to be very interesting to see what Poch does with the likes of Neymar and Mbappe. I can see Mbappe being more willing to pressing high and aggressive, he's still young. But Neymar won't.

Mauricio Pochettino's arrival to PSG is a very odd one. He'll try and implement a high press whilst having to play players like Mbappe, Neymar and Icardi. The minimum that is expected of him is to win everything domestically and on top of that, a champions league.

15 days agoPundits have pointed out for several seasons that these players will need to work more defensively if they want to acheive their dream of winning the Champions League - although this didn't stop them reaching the final of the competition last season.
At Southampton and Tottenham, Pochettino had the luxury of players who were willing to listen to his tactics - and run themselves into the ground for their teams. Now he wil have a different test of managing egos and trying to get everyone on side with his philosophy.
