Jose Mourinho is favourite to be named new Tottenham Hotspur manager after they sacked Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday evening.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Spurs are considering the Portuguese as an option and he would be open to discussing the position.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is set to decide in the coming hours.
Romano has also stressed that a final decision is yet to be made on who will take over.
But Mourinho is as short as 4/11 with some bookmakers, a long way ahead of the likes of Eddie Howe, Carlo Ancelotti and Massimiliano Allegri.

If Mourinho does land the Tottenham job, his team travel to former side Manchester United on December 4.
The North London outfit have suffered a horrible start to the season and are currently 14th in the Premier League.
Despite reaching the Champions League final last season, Pochettino had to pay the price for the club being 11 points off the top four.
A club statement from Levy read: "Mauricio and his coaching staff will always be part of our history. I have the utmost admiration for the manner in which he dealt with the difficult times away from a home ground whilst we built the new stadium and for the warmth and positivity he brought to us.
"I should like to thank him and his coaching staff for all they have contributed. They will always be welcome here.

"We have a talented squad. We need to re-energise and look to deliver a positive season for our supporters."
Mourinho has been out of management since December when he was sacked by Manchester United.
He has discussed a return to management over the last 11 months and reports emerged last week suggesting he would like a return to England.
