Mohamed Salah Speaks About Disruption The Egypt Camp Faced During The World Cup

It might've been a glowing 2017/18 campaign for the Mohamed Salah, but his World Cup tournament with Egypt left a lot to be desired.

The Liverpool attacker scored an unprecedented 44 goals in all campaigns last season, but couldn't save his national side from getting knocked out in the group stages of the World Cup in Russia.

But now, in an exclusive interview with the Guardian, Salah has explained how the WC was a bit of a horror show for Egypt.

He said: "I asked for more security for all players, not only for me. We had many disturbances at the team's camp during our participation at the World Cup in Russia.

"I couldn't go to the restaurant twice as they told me you won't be able to go there for your own safety due to the crowd inside the hotel."

It doesn't stop there. It is reported that a EFA official told a local Egyptian television channel that he had been abler to get in touch with Salah ever since the World Cup because his "WhatsApp number changes all the time.'

Salah recently tweeted this (translated):

"Naturally any ball union seeks to solve the problems of its players until they provide comfort.. But really what I see is exactly the opposite. It is not natural that my letters and my lawyer's letters are ignored... I don't know why this is all. Don't you have enough time to answer us?!"

Do you think Salah can repeat the same form for next season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
