Kylian Mbappe has responded to the boos from Monaco supporters, following his big-money move away from the Stade Louis.

The teenage sensation made the move from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain last summer, in a mega money move on an initial loan contract that has it a permanent clause. The fee for the move is reported to be around £150 million.

Mbappe is highly-rated, and was scouted heavily by Arsenal and Real Madrid before he made the surprise switch to Ligue 1 side PSG.

The 19-year-old hasn't quite caused stir that he was expected to make when he first made the move to PSG. For Monaco, the youngster had his breakout season, helping the club win the league and even reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

But he's responded to the criticism from his former supporters.

"In 6 months, I did more than 3/4 of the players to ever play there," he told ouest.france.fr.

"They can blame me, but in six months I had the best season in the club's history."

Wow. Seems that Mbappe isn't going to take any criticism lying down, espeacillly from Monaco supporters.

But it's worth pointing out that, despite his comments the France international is the 16th highest top-scorer for Monaco, netting 27 times in 60 games for the side

He has done well with PSG, however. In his inaugural season, he has scored 21 times in 44 games.

With the World Cup just around the corner, Mbappe now has a chance to truly shine on the big stage.
