Would this be a better transfer?

Manchester United have been linked with a transfer for Tottenham talisman Harry Kane over the last few months, links which only grew after Spurs' dismal showing in the Carabao Cup final.

However, the 27-year-old England captain has been hit by several injuries over the past few years, and would likely cost a hefty transfer fee in what will be a Covid-hit summer window.

With this in mind, Red Devils fans have had their heads turned by another Premier League forward who has hit some pretty impressive form recently.

Kelechi Iheanacho has scored 14 goals in his last 14 games for Leicester City, firing them to a seven point cushion ahead of fifth placed West Ham.

Before this season, the Nigeria international hadn't quite been living up to expectations at the King Power Stadium after a £25 million move from Manchester City.

The 24-year-old has really hit his stride now though, and appears to be realising his undoubted potential.

United fans think Iheanacho, who scored as their fierce rivals Man City grabbed a win over them in 2016, could be the answer to their striker issue.

A big factor could be the price, with Kane likely to come at a premium as Tottenham won't want to let the man who essentially carries their team go cheaply. Throw in his England captaincy and the forward could get pretty pricey.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho would likely still be a large outlay, but is younger and likely better value for money. Although he has less of a guarantee of success as Kane, as he could slip back into the form which saw him score just nine goals total in the three seasons before this one.
