Manchester United beat Leeds 6-2 on Sunday, thanks to a first half rout of Marcelo Bielsa's side.

After 16 years of waiting to face their feirce rivals in the Premier League again, the Yorkshire side allowed the match to be over as a contest before the half time whistle was blown.

Leeds didn't appear to realise the game had started for the first three minutes, allowing Scott McTominay to score twice and completely change the game before many will have sat down to watch.

Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof then doubled the two goal lead, to leave Leeds with no way back after only 37 minutes.

Fans of the Whites weren't helped in their disappointment by the sight of Bielsa sipping from a Man Utd cup on the sidelines as his team were taken apart by the Red Devils.

Liam Cooper grabbed a consolation just before the break, but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback.

The game was less end-to-end in the second half, but Daniel James hit the back of the net to make it 5-1 just after the hour had passed - before Fernandes doubled his tally by scoring from the spot after Anthony Martial went down in the box.

Another consolation from Stuart Dallas wasn't enough to hide Leeds' blushes, and fans of all teams were shocked by Leeds' shoddy defending.
