Manchester City Mocked For How They Welcomed Their Team

Manchester City Mocked For How They Welcomed Their Team

Being highly successful does have its bad points. Indeed, the trophies and wins come flooding in, but it also means that other rivals supporters get a tad jealous and decide to mock you.

Man City broke a ridiculous amount of records last season in the Premier League, and this season they have started as they mean to go on, beating a hapless Huddersfield Town 6-1 at the Etihad.

But rival supporters took the opportunity to mock the side for the confetti on the pitch.

Not too long ago, City fans were sent a neat package ahead of the new season by their club. In it, contained confetti with a note that read:

"At our first home match, bring your scarf and throw this confetti in the air when the Champions walk out!"

And, of course, many were reminded of this moments before today's game. Social media had a field day.
