It's probable he'll never play at the Etihad.

Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal with Melbourne City for Daniel Arzani, and should they sign him, the side will immediately ship him out on loan to Celtic.

The 19-year-old is one of the biggest prospects in Australian football and is now close to joining up with the Premier League champions.

Azrani has been on the radar of AS Roma, too, but it appears as though it will be City nabbing the youngster.

The Daily Mail are suggesting that the move will be similar to Aaron Mooy's transfer to City, before joining Huddersfield Town and helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.

The City Group conglomerate could be looking to bring the player under their umbrella, raise his value at Celtic and sell him on. It's unlikely that Azrani will ever play for City.

Pep Guardiola has fallen under criticism for not fielding enough youngsters at City. With the top-notch academy at the club, some feel as though Guardiola isn't making use of the young players in his squad. Phil Foden has a great future, but should, arguably, be played more often.

Instead of giving the midfielder a bump in rank next season, Guardiola bought in Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City for £60m. It might be seen as a tad overkill, considering the the wealth of choice that Guardiola has to choose froom in the attack department already.

City go into next season in the knowledge that they were absolutely devastating in the last campaign. They know it won't be easy, and that other clubs now know what to expect, but it's still thought that they'll be fine in clinching their second Premier League title, with their only title-rival being billed as Liverpool.
