Liverpool Reportedly In Talks To Sign Alisson From AS Roma

The Brazilian keeper could well be between the sticks for Liverpool next season.

Liverpool have decided that allowing the Loris Karius drama to drag on any further is likely a bad idea and so have begun talks with Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson.

The keeper was subject to rumours of a switch to Anfield following Karius' multiple howlers in the Champions League final, a game in which featured, arguably, the worst performance by a professional goalkeeper at the highest level of football.

Karius was brilliant for Liverpool since coming in and replacing Simon Mignolet around Christmas time, but that game in Kiev, Ukraine, has tarnished his legacy at the club. He will forever fall under scrutiny, the player who once cost the Reds the ultimate prize with not one, but two blunders.

And so, 25-year-old AS Roma keeper Alisson is reported to be locked in negotiations with the Reds, as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to build on what was an impressive season.

The goalie is now subject to a 70 million euro move and talks are now underway. Don't believe us? Everyone and their mums is saying it.

Excited Liverpool fans have taken to social media to express their delight over news of the potential incoming player.

It's exciting times over in the red side of Liverpool. Things are really clicking into place and Klopp has forged his own unique style of having a team which is jaw-droppingly brilliant in attack, but not so much in defence, only letting in goals in the most maddening of ways in the most crucial of times.

And yes know VVD has improved you, and you got that run of clean sheets, but you finished fourth, Liverpool, fourth!
