Liverpool Keen On Bringing In Adrien Rabiot

Another player for Liverpool? Yes, another one.

You would think Liverpool have got enough in their locker. Their attacking options are bordering on overkill. But, even still, a report from French outlet L'Equipe is suggesting that they are hopeful of bringing in this star.

That man is Paris Saint-Germain player Adrien Rabiot. The 23-year-old has come through the ranks at PSG, and was famously trolled over the summer for refusing to take part in France's provisional squad.

France went on to win the World Cup, but manager Didier Deschamps said at the time:

"I was obviously surprised. I can understand his immense disappointment but I'm convinced he made a huge mistake."

"Hopefully it will help him grow up and think. When you play at the highest level, you can let your emotions take over. I'm surprised because he is a young player with only a few caps."

He's been linked with Arsenal with some time, but those rumours have been displaced ever since Arsene Wenger left as Gunners boss.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel said of the star via Canal Plus (h/t Goal's Jamie Smith):

"I'm not certain he will stay. I want him to stay, but it's up to him. He has great potential and can improve even further. He can become a top player but has to stay with us."

Amid rumours linking him to Barcelona, reports now say that the Reds are hopeful of entering into a pre-contract agreement with Rabiot in the transfer window in January, with the idea of having a free transfer next summer, which is when his current contract with the Ligue 1 champions runs out.
