Leicester City Owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha And His Daughter Amongst Five People In Crashed Helicopter
Sky News has revealed that Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and his daughter were both on board the crashed helicopter.
The news outlet has reported that the 61-year-old Thai businessman, his daughter, two pilots and an "unidentified fifth person" were in the helicopter.
The condition of Mr Srivaddhanaprabha, as well as anyone else involved in the incident, is unknown at this moment in time.
The incident took place after Leicester's 1-1 draw to West Ham United, with a private helicopter taking off from inside the King Power Stadium before it crashed outside in the car park.
One witness has said that Leicester 'keeper Kasper Schmeichel had rushed out to the scene and was deeply distressed by what had happened.
SPORTbible reported earlier today that Srivaddhanaprabha was apparently on board the helicopter.
Sky sources have confirmed that Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha and director of football Jon Rudkin were not on board the helicopter.
A spokesman for Leicester City has issued the following statement: "We are assisting Leicestershire Police and the Emergency Services in dealing with a major incident at King Power Stadium. The Club will issue a more detailed statement once further information has been established."
