Sensational Video Of 22-Year-Old Lionel Messi Proves Kylian Mbappe 'Being Better' Is A Myth

Messi was operating at an incredible level as a youngster.

A mesmerising video of 22-year-old Lionel Messi strutting his stuff has emphatically ended the argument Kylian Mbappe is already better at that age.

Mbappe scored twice on Wednesday evening as Paris Saint-Germain ran out 3-2 winners over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

It has seen many crown him the heir to Messi's throne, with some even claiming he's a better 'clutch player' than Messi ever was at 22.

But @Messi_Worldwide has shut all that talk down with highlights of the Barcelona superstar's showing against Arsenal in 2010.

Barcelona welcomed the Gunners to the Camp Nou for a Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with the scores 2-2 on aggregate.

The away side actually went ahead thanks to Nicklas Bendtner, before Messi rose to the occasion.

He scored four times to stun Arsenal's defence and the pick of the bunch was a lovely lob to complete his first half hat-trick. Yes, first half hat-trick.

Graeme Souness and Ruud Gullit provided punditry on Sky Sports and were left in disbelief at Messi's performance.

Souness waxed lyrical at full-time, even dubbing Messi the greatest he's ever seen at such a tender age.

He begun: "I think this is one of those nights you say 'I was there that night.' I thought Barcelona were outstanding and Messi, he is by far the best in the world."

Gullit then chimed in: "Messi is not of this planet at the moment!"

When asked how to stop the Argentine, Souness replied: "You can't stop him! Look at a lot of the goals he gets, he takes on defenders who have three or four stone on him.

"He's one of those dogs that when you push them down, they just jump back up. You can't knock him over in the final third. He just rides the challenges, he's phenomenal.

"He's as good as anyone I've ever seen."

Mbappe has managed to outshine Messi when it mattered this season - scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona back in February.

But he still has a ways to go before being mentioned in the GOAT debate alongside Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
