Why do people even bother?

Cristiano Ronaldo showcased incredible mentality after being booed by fans during Portugal vs France at Euro 2020.

The Juventus superstar scored twice on Wednesday evening as the reigning World and European champions played out a 2-2 draw.

Both came from the penalty spot and footage from inside the Puskas Arena shows supporters attempting to put Ronaldo off.

What did he do? Smash home both penalties with relative ease.

Hugo Lloris is a World Cup winner and didn't stand a chance against a motivated Ronaldo.

Nobody else in football can show this kind of composure under pressure.

The footage has gone viral on social media and users have paid tribute to 'cash money' Ronaldo proving his haters wrong once again.

Ronaldo's former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema also netted twice and the pair shared an embrace prior to kick-off.

Despite many players getting irritated by jeers, Ronaldo admitted last year that he's missed it during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 36-year-old said per Daily Mail: "For me, I have to be honest, to play in an empty stadium is boring in my opinion.

"We, the players, respect all the protocols and health is the most important thing of all, of course, but I don't like it to be honest.

"I do it first of all because I love football. My passion is always football. I play for my family, my kids, my friends, the fans. But I don't like it, to be honest, it's so weird.

"I like when people boo Cristiano. When I touch the ball they 'boo'. I like it. I hope in 2021 they can change the rules and we can see the stadiums full of people."
