David Beckham and Ronaldo Nazario have hinted that a Real Madrid legends friendly could be in the pipeline to raise funds for those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The duo played together at 'Los Blancos' between 2003 and 2007 and have remained good friends since.

Both men appeared on an Instagram Live together on Wednesday and hinted at a future legends match when the pandemic is over.

Former Manchester United star Beckham currently owns MLS franchise Inter Miami while 'R9' is majority owner of La Liga side Real Valladolid and that's what kicked the conversation off.

"Inter Miami, wonderful colour. At [Real] Valladolid we have the same," Brazilian star Ronaldo stated.

"We can do a friendly match after all this, and raise money for the people that need it."

Former England captain Beckham then responded with: "We should do that.

"I think it is important to raise as much money for the people that have been working every single day trying to save lives, trying to do everything possible and are away from their children and their families.

"It's such an important part of what we can achieve with the club we have been a part of and the players that we have been talking about, to do something special is very important."

They aren't the first Real Madrid stars from the past to make this kind of suggestion in the last week.

Iker Casillas also threw his name into the hat for a different type of friendly - a clash with bitter rivals Barcelona.

The Spaniard replied to former Barcelona captain Carles Puyol on Twitter with: "It is funny but I had to see you against several times. And of course, please !! There has been everything but... what the hell! WHEN ALL THIS NIGHTMARE HAPPENS, we should gather the mythical ones of years ago and play a CLASSIC VINTAGE !! Collection for NEEDED people."

The Classico remains one of the biggest games of the football season and the idea of seeing legends strut their stuff one more time is mouthwatering.

Would you be interested in seeing these charity games in the future?
