An American YouTuber recorded his reaction to watching Adel Taarabt for the first time ever and he was left awestruck by the skill on show.

Taarabt played the best football of his career at Queens Park Rangers and was arguably one of the world's silkiest dribblers for a few years.

TKS said fans had requested him watch the midfielder, who is known as the best 'streets will never forget' talent.

The video begins with Taarabt pulling off a number of nutmegs and TKS immediately recognises the kind of player he's about to watch.

Fans across the Championship and Premier League would regularly applaud Taarabt's exciting talent, even if he was on the opposing team.

Along with the nutmegs are incredible stepovers and flicks that shouldn't even be possible. TKS keeps rewinding the video to watch Taarabt's incredible footwork.

He remarks: "So what happened to him?! If this is about QPR, what happened to him after QPR? Because this looks insane!

"Obviously a crazily skilled player."

TKS then compares Taarabt to Hatem Ben Arfa who had lit up the Premier League in a similar way with Newcastle United.

"You guys have to let me know if I'm off on this but he reminds me of Ben Arfa.

"The way he is on the ball, the megs, the flashiness. The player that I've never heard about but you guys talk about how good he was.

"I don't know if it was for a short period, or if injuries hindered him. You've gotta fill me in.

"Obviously he had the talent. He's just saucing players left and right."

It was inconsistency and attitude that held Taarabt back from fulfilling his potential, especially while in England.

Taarabt eventually moved to Benfica on a permanent deal after spells on loan at Fulham and AC Milan.

He plays a much deeper role in Portugal and shows a lot more composure on the ball. It's a huge contrast to the maverick he was while playing in London.

But his spells in England have left an impact on so many fans - including TKS who jokes he wants to go outside and try some of the 31-year-old's best tricks.

"These are the videos that get me excited man, players I've never seen that turn into something crazy like this.

"Unbelievable."
