Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could potentially lineup together for Juventus next year - if Messi's Barcelona exit proves to be true.

The chances of Messi leaving the Nou Camp appear to have increased significantly after he slammed former teammate and current Barca sporting director Eric Abidal.

One club who are reportedly interested in the 32-year-old is Juventus, who currently have Cristiano Ronaldo among their ranks.

The thought of the multi-time Ballon d'Or winners lining up together has begun to excite fans despite it being unlikely to happen.

Ronaldo himself discussed playing with Messi back in 2016 and thinks a partnership could work.

"It would be interesting to see both of us in the same team," the 35-year-old told France Football per MirrorOnline.

"I think great players should play together. So if we were in the same team, I think I would have more than him, but he wouldn't be far off.

"Everyone knows Messi is a great player."

Other clubs said to be interested in the Barca captain such as the two Manchester clubs, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.
