Edinson Cavani Showed His Valuable Experience In Pre-Match Chat With Paul Pogba

Edinson Cavani's pre-match chat with Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba shows exactly what he brings to the Red Devils team.

Cavani returned to the starting XI against Burnley after serving a three-match ban for a social media post containing a racially offensive term.

He was raring to go at Turf Moor and Sky Sports cameras caught the Uruguayan laying out instructions to Pogba.

The 33-year-old could be seen gesturing towards Pogba, likely asking for balls over the top of Burnley's defence, as the Frenchman nodded in agreement.

Cavani then clapped to Pogba as the duo took their places on the pitch.

Fans have commented on the exchange and they think Cavani's experience will prove vital in their challenge for the title.

Cavani went straight back into the United team and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted he was 'raring to go'.

"Edinson has trained well when he's been banned," Solskjaer told Sky Sports. "He's had a couple of days off, of course, as well - you can't train too much.

"But he's ready to go, he gives us a different option. He's a different type of striker or forward than Mason (Greenwood), Anthony (Martial) and Marcus (Rashford), so I'm glad to have him back. That's why we brought him in.

"He's contributed really well so far and I'm sure he'll be really important for us now until the end of the season."

United ran out 1-0 winners on Tuesday evening and it means they are now top of the Premier League.

It was Pogba who scored the winning goal, with his volley deflecting past a helpless Nick Pope.
