Liverpool's home kit for the 2021/2022 season has leaked online and the 'zig-zag' design promises to be a controversial talking point.

It's been a poor season for Jurgen Klopp's side and they've failed to defend their Premier League title, with the club currently sat in seventh place.

This campaign is the first of their lucrative multi-year dear with Nike started and the manufacturer went all out for their kits.

Footy Headlines have now revealed what next season's jersey will look like and it could be a divisive one.

Around the sleeves and neck is a luminous orange colour, while the back of the collar is green.

The shade of green is similar to the one used on this season's home shirt.

In terms of the actual shirt itself, it's described as 'gym red' with 'fossil' coloured badges and logos.

But the controversy could stem from the 'zig-zag' orange design that is across the entire shirt.

Fans have had their say on the release and early impressions aren't positive.

The Reds haven't played a game in nearly two weeks thanks to last weekend's clash with Manchester United being postponed.

Protests outside Old Trafford saw fans spill onto the pitch and it was decided the game could no longer go ahead as planned.

It has since been rescheduled for Thursday, May 13.

Liverpool will take on Southampton in a 20:15 kick-off on Saturday evening.
