Jamie Carragher created a storm on Twitter by suggesting that Roy Keane, Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso were all better footballers than Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.

Carragher is doing nothing to help Manchester and Liverpool relations with this tweet he posted back in 2015.
The tweet didn't sit well with Manchester United supporters at the time and it won't today either.
Scholes is described as one of the greatest players to ever grace the game, but he seems to fly under the radar in discussions about the best players in recent history, despite players like Zinedine Zidane and Xavi all saying that he was one of the greats.
In fact, Barca legend Xavi said this of the former Man United maestro via the Telegraph: "Paul Scholes is a role model," said the Spaniard.
"For me - and I really mean this - he's the best central midfielder I've seen in the last 15, 20 years.
"I've spoken to Xabi Alonso about him. He's spectacular, he has it all: the last pass, goals, he's strong, he doesn't lose the ball, vision.
"If he'd been Spanish he might have been rated more highly. Players love him."
That's some compliment. If anyone were to know about footballing ability it would be Xavi.
Normally the debate surrounds who was better out of Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard. Luckily everyone now knows that Lampard is the clear winner out of those players. Don't shoot!
But what about Scholes and Alonso, Scholes and Keane? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
