Gary Neville Hits Back At Liverpool Supporters Over Xherdan Shaqiri Comments
Gary Neville has hit back at Liverpool supporters after Xherdan Shaqiri played brilliantly in their 4-1 drumming of Manchester United.
Shaqiri was partly blamed for Stoke City's relegation last season, with the Man United-supporting Neville brothers branding him "unprofessional" and "a disgrace."
The Switzerland international moved to Liverpool this summer in a transfer reported to be worth around £13.5m.
This is already paying off dividends, as the attacker came on as a substitute and scored a superb over-head kick in the Intentional Champions Cup, as the Reds ran out 4-1 winners.
Because of his display, plenty of Reds fans have trolled Gary Neville for his comments.

You can see how happy he is after moving to LFC and his expressions say it all. At Stoke he was in a team which no identify, lazy players, no tactics and fighting relegation.- ManjBains (@ManjBains1977) July 29, 2018
But the Man United legend has bitten back on social media, even blowing the Liverpool supporters a kiss with an emoji.
I hope you lot are going to message me every time you see him stood on the halfway line whilst your team are being attacked ! Oh and he needs Ronaldinho playing with him :kissing_heart: https://t.co/s8C8E6PgNb- Gary Neville (@GNev2) July 29, 2018
Shaqiri can make a huge difference on his day and is capable of scoring some breath-taking goals, his finish against the Red Devils on Saturday night no different.
Man United finished second in the league last season, but given the buzz around Anfield right now - not to mention their big-money buys on the transfer market this summer - everyone is looking to them to be the ones making a claim for the Premier League title, alongside Man City.
