EA Sports have concerned fans with their announcement of no FIFA 21 demo - with many thinking the game will be exactly the same as FIFA 20.

The publisher updated fans on Monday and revealed there would be no demo this year, explaining the focus will be on "delivering the best full game experience for current and next-gen consoles."

However, the news hasn't gone down well and many have questioned why there will be no demo at all.

Many have speculated the coronavirus pandemic has hindered development of the game, which will launch on the PS5 and Xbox Series X as well as current-gen consoles.

However, some think not being allowed to play the game ahead of launch is hiding the fact there are barely any improvements from last year's iteration.

The only time fans have had the chance to play the game is if they were invited to a closed beta in August.

Other controversies surrounding the game include the overall of the world's top players.

Fans have even taken to YouTube to voice their frustrations about the future of the franchise.

EA Gamechangers made videos addressing the news and the comments section were quick to question the decision.

One user wrote: "Pretty naughty on EA's behalf in the fact that people now cannot try out the (new) features of the game to then see if its worth buying, (THE WHOLE POINT OF A DEMO BTW!!!!!) and the only option to give the game a try is by buying it, classic robbing EA lol they get more greedy every year."

A second added: "People are honestly dumb for eating this up. There's no demo because the game isn't ready. Just like it wasn't ready last year but they still released it with a ton of issues. EA never do things for the benefit of the players the servers have been poor for years."

While a third stated: "EA has been lazy with Madden. They'll be lazy with FIFA too. 2K and EA have already released massively flawed sports game this year. This is not all related to the pandemic. Some yes, all no."

Despite the concern surrounding FIFA 21 ahead of the slated October 9 release date, Career Mode looks to have received an overhaul and gameplay is said to be "much more responsive" this year.

Do you agree with EA Sports not releasing a demo for FIFA 21?
