Leyton Orient have challenged football teams across the globe to join their team FIFA 20 'UltimateQuaranTeam' tournament during the coronavirus pandemic.

The League Two side took to Twitter on Sunday evening and invited the world's elite to join them in what was originally a 64 team knockout tournament.

Saturday saw Bayer Leverkusen and Hull City face off in a connect four tie but 'The O's' have had a much better idea.

The tweet read:

"Sure, connect four is cool but we've got a better idea!

"We need 63 other teams to enter a knock-out FIFA 20 tournament.

"To enter, all we need is the club to RT this tweet. We will host a live draw this Tuesday..."

They then cheekily said they're praying for an away trip to current Premier League champions Manchester City, who have put their name forward.

Entering the tournament will require the teams to play as themselves and choose one person to represent then.

That person could be a fan or a player which creates all kinds of brilliant possibilities.

The tournament has been met with such a positive response from teams across the globe that the size could increase to 128 teams.

Fans on Twitter have reacted to the post and have tagged their club to get involved.

One Twitter user even suggested a punditry and commentating team for the tourney which commentator Guy Mowbray was very interested in.

Should the tournament take place, it's fair to say that many fans will be showing a huge interest.
