Erling Haaland has been told he's a lower rating than Kylian Mbappe in FIFA 22 - with the Borussia Dortmund man reacting exactly as you'd expect.

The latest instalment of EA Sports' hit franchise launched on Friday and as always, the debate surrounding player ratings has raged on.

Dortmund decided to have Jude Bellingham tell his teammates what their ratings were and his good friend Haaland entered the picture.

Haaland has been upgraded from an 84 card to an 88 card, which is still three behind Mbappe who is a 91-rated card.

"Happy?" Bellingham asks before Haaland says, "Not bad yeah," before patting his good friend on the back.

Bellingham then tells the 21-year-old he's below Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski, to which he immediately says: "No comment."

Still not a shabby rating to be fair.

When asked which ratings should be better, Haaland replies: "For me, pace and physical I think should be in the 90's. In forms come out today... don't you think I deserve it?"

With a smirk on his face, Bellingham then states: "I very much think you deserve it my friend."

Bellingham also spoke to Marco Reus, Donyall Malen and Thorgan Hazard among others. Even calls Thorgan the 'number two Hazard'. Savage.

It's no secret that Haaland and Mbappe are currently the frontrunners to take over the Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe has even touched Haaland in a recent interview.

The 22-year-old told Esquire: "It is his second year, we are getting to know him. It is the beginning for him. I'm happy for him, for what he's doing."

A rivalry between the duo started to blossom earlier this year after Haaland's comments during the Champions League.

He scored twice against Sevilla the day after Mbappe netted a hat-trick against Barcelona.

In a post-match chat with Viaplay Fotball, Haaland admitted Mbappe motivated him with his performances.

He claimed: "I love the Champions League and when I saw Mbappe score the hat-trick yesterday I got free motivation, so thanks to him.

"I saw Mbappe yesterday, he scored some nice goals and I got a good boost from him."
