Arsenal fans have gone to extreme lengths to track Gabriel Magalhaes' potential transfer - by analysing an Instagram story.

Gunners fans have history with obsessing over potential transfers and they even tracked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's flight to London in 2018.

But @arnie1886 has gone to the next level with his attention to detail of transfer target Magalhaes' Instagram story.

It begins with the Brazilian being seated on the left and not driving, meaning he is in the United Kingdom.

The sky is also in line with the North London weather on Friday.

Furthermore, the Lille man posted a 'boomerang' to Instagram which proves the picture is from around 7pm Friday evening, as they can only be embedded in story mode.

It then goes even deeper.

@johannn0507 thinks the 22-year-old is seated in a Mercedes V-Class - a car new signings are transported in.

Can it go even deeper than that? Yes it can.

@realadammcohen jumped on Google Street View and theorised the initial Instagram story was posted from the club's training ground.

He points out a number of landmarks to keep an eye out for, including a fir tree and other grassy areas.

You can't fault the dedication.

Mikel Arteta is keen to add to his squad after coming eighth in the Premier League last season.

Willian has arrived on a free transfer from Chelsea and Magalhaes is likely to be their second signing of the summer.

Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal are 'confident' they'll secure his signature ahead of Napoli, who are waiting for Kalidou Koulibaly's future to be resolved.

Do you think Gabriel Magalhaes will be a good signing for Arsenal?
