It's safe to say the Everton forward's shot wasn't as close as heard on TV...

Everton forward Richarlison blazed a shot miles wide against Liverpool this evening - but that didn't stop Sky Sports' artificial crowd noise going wild.

The Brazilian latched onto a header from Dominic Calvert-Lewin before darting into the Liverpool penalty area.

However, he was quickly closed down by Joel Matip before blazing the ball high and wide.

But if you were listening to the game rather than watching it, you'd be forgiven for thinking the 22-year-old had scored an absolute worldie.

Fans on social media have reacted to the incident and it's fair to say artificial crowd noise is still having a few teething problems.

Victory for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby would have put them within touching distance of their first ever Premier League title.

However, Carlo Ancelotti's side were stubborn and could have even nicked all three points in the second half.

Calvert-Lewin saw his effort tipped away by Alisson before Tom Davies rattled the post with a deflected effort.
