A pair of Chorley fans have been caught watching their side's FA Cup clash with Derby Country from a cherry picker.

The non-league side welcomed Championship outfit Derby to Victory Park on Saturday looking to book a place in the fourth round.

No fans were in the stadium due to current coronavirus restrictions, but two people just outside the stadium found their way around it.

Picked up by BT Sport cameras were the duo watching the action from above as the commentator remarked: "Well if you've got a cherry picker you may as well use it."

Fans have reacted to the incident and they were fans of the thinking on display.

It was a day to remember for the Magpies as they defeated a weakened Derby 2-0 to advance in the competition.

The Rams' first-team didn't travel due to a coronavirus outbreak which closed their training ground, meaning they sent a team of youth players instead.

Chorley were determined to reach the fourth round however and took the lead inside 10 minutes through Connor Hall.

Mike Calveley added a second in the 85th minute to seal a historic victory.
