Football Manager Has Hilarious On-Pitch Meltdown After Team Concede Equaliser

Marius Croitoru invaded the pitch after the 94th-minute heartbreaker.

We usually save the screaming, pounding the floor and rending clothes in anguish for our wedding day - but for Marius Croitoru it's just a reaction to his side conceding a late equaliser.

Romanian side Botosani were clinging to a 2-1 lead, four minutes into stoppage time, when opponents Sepsi fired the ball into the net after some penalty box ping-pong.

Croitoru did not take this well. The Botosani boss launched himself face-first onto the playing surface and furiously beat/tapped the turf like Brock Lesnar had a choke hold on him.

He got up only to berate his goalkeeper in animated fashion - to be fair, the shot does go straight through him - and at some point remove his tracksuit top so he's shouting at everyone in just his white undershirt.

It's the absolute opposite of the stone-faced grimace Chris Wilder displayed when Jamie Vardy scored a late winner for Leicester against Sheffield United. But you have to admire the passion.

Frankly, this is exactly how we react whenever we concede a stoppage-time equaliser in 'Football Manager'. But it's not the kind of reaction we expect from a real-life football manager.

We immediately want the 40-year-old Croitoru, who took charge of Liga I side Botosani last year, in the Premier League ASAP.

Although he's presumably now stripped to the waist in the away dressing room and still berating his players for their sloppy defending at this very minute.

Someone just let him know about our (unofficial) offer to manage - say - West Brom as soon as he's cooled down. Probably sometime in early 2021.
