Bourssia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin has been accepted onto a course at Havard University.

Sahin, who played for La Liga giants Real Madrid between 2011 and 2014, revealed via social media that he has been admitted onto a sports management course at the prestigious Havard Business School.

The 29-year-old is known for his vast intelligence on the field but no one could have guessed that he would translate it onto academics studies as well.

Havard University is featured third in the Guardian's recent 2018 Top Universities in the World League Table but is still seen as the most famous American school in the Ivy League.

It is considered a sign of intellectual excellence to be admitted into the university and so Sahin's social media post highlights just how clever the former Real Madrid player must be. A genius both on and off the field, eh?

In the post, Sahin says. "I'm pleased to inform you that I've been admitted to @harvardhbs! Super excited about the programme and delighted to meet legendary @anitaelberse #LifeAtHBS"

And the reaction has been full of support, with some followers even labeling Sahin 'the Professor'.

Remarkable stuff. We wish Sahin all the best in his new venture. Let's just hope it doesn't distract him from his football, however.
