The summer signing from Wolves opened the scoring with a cheeky left-footed flick to give Liverpool the lead, running on to Trent-Alexander Arnold's inch-perfect pass and dinking the ball home to put the Reds in front in Italy.
In doing so, Jota became the first Liverpool player to score in four successive matches since Sadio Mane in February 2019, fully justifying Jurgen Klopp's decision to start the Portuguese player over Roberto Firmino.
Jota has also now scored nine goals since the start of last season in European competition with six for Wolves and three for Liverpool.
His second wasn't bad against Atlanta either as he controlled a cross and smashed a shot home at the near post.
