Daniel Sturridge has denied any rift with Jurgen Klopp, offering some relief to Liverpool supporters.

The Liverpool striker was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion during the transfer window last January but fell victim to injury in only his third match with the Baggies.

His plight with injuries has meant he hasn't found the form is once had - this latest one being just a one of a string of length absences because of knocks or pulled muscles.

When Brendan Rodgers was Liverpool boss, Sturridge was in fine form. His best season he scored 24 goals in 33 matches. At one point he was tipped for stardom, but fortune hasn't favoured the 28-year-old despite clearing being a talented individual.

But even when fit, Klopp has favoured a front three of Mohamed Salah, Robert Firmino and Sadio Mane.

But, despite looking like Sturridge's career at Anfield is heading towards an end, he has taken to social media to say that he wished his team all the best ahead of their upcoming Champions League contest with Real Madrid, and that he had a conversation with manager Klopp and Michael Edwards, the Red's sporting director.

It's proved a popular tweet, having been liked over 10k times.

Sturridge will earn a Champions League winners medal if his side emerge victorious this Saturday. He helped the Reds in their stunning European campaign with a goal and two assists.

During his five years at Liverpool, Sturridge has amassed an impressive record of 48 goals in 98 games. The feeling is that if the striker wasn't plagued by injury throughout his career, he could've really made something of himself.
