Cristiano Ronaldo had the perfect reaction to being told 'you did it again' during Manchester United's dramatic win over Villarreal.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner netted in stoppage time to give United a vital 2-1 win in their Champions League Group F clash on Wednesday.

It was his first European goal back at Old Trafford and celebrated wildly, throwing his shirt in the air. A completely different story post-match, however.

BT Sport told Ronaldo, 'Cristiano: You did it again...' and it brought a smug smile from the 36-year-old's face.

Coolness personified, you won't find a better interview clip that sums him up.

Fans have reacted to the clip on social media and they think it's hilarious.

He continued: "That's my job, yeah!"

"It was a very, very difficult game. Villarreal played good, create many chances.

"We struggled a little bit because we knew before the game that we must win the game.

"It was tough, the team was a little bit nervous especially.... well, first half and second half, to be honest.

"But we had a little bit of luck that we didn't have in the last game [against Aston Villa].

"It was good, great attitude from our players. The fans pushed us a lot, which I have to say thank you to all of them.

"This is what we need sometimes when we're a little bit down, when the team is not playing well, but an important win."

Villarreal had gone ahead through Paco Alcacer before Alex Telles' volley on the hour mark brought United level.

Ronaldo then smashed home a late winner to earn all three points.

United return to action against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
